Good news, bad news.

So for those of you who have figured out (and those who have not), I was originally planning to pursue an IT career and be able to eventually make it to one of the big tech companies. Unfortunately, I no longer have the motivation or the interest to do so, and here's why.

To avoid making this like an accusation, I will not be giving names of anyone involved, nor will I be saying where this took place.

I have been a helper in an IT environment for some time, and I wasn't having any issues helping out, until an unauthorized change was made to one of our systems by someone helping out in one of the same areas that I was.

To be clear, the main IT guy was not blaming me for it. It was actually someone who had actually admitted to having never used this system before and accidentally overwrote an essential file that had been transferred from one system to another. Thankfully, the source file was intact, and the file transfer was re-run, allowing it to be recovered on the target system.

But, that's only the start of the situation. After this, the main IT guy decided to begin cracking down on untrained people by heavily regulating the use of the system where the unauthorized change was made (in a very strict way). Then he began restricting the area where this system was used. This was fine by me, but the way it was communicated to me was not (I found out about it from the leader of the team where the person who made the unauthorized change belonged to). Then he restricted who could declare someone fully trained (someone considered fully trained is allowed to operate this system without a mentor being present), which as a side effect, revoked my ability to say so (side note: I was still allowed to train people on how to use the system, I just couldn't declare anyone fully trained).

The ultimate end was the main IT guy announcing an overhaul to the way new people would be added, requiring that someone wanting to join this area, would have to be approved by someone designated as a trustworthy operator (of which I was one of them) in addition to the two leaders of the area.

So you may be wondering what I am going to do instead of IT. Well, I've decided to take a different direction in content creation. I have decided to become a Forza streamer instead. I have purchased an Xbox Series X, and will be streaming Forza Horizon 5 on August 4th. To mark this change, I will be expanding to Twitch. You can check out my new Twitch account on twitch.tv/jonathanhanzel. For those who are still on YouTube, you will still be able to watch the Forza live stream on YouTube.

The streams will be alternating between the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon games starting with my previous stream. That means that the stream after the August 4th live stream will be Forza Motorsport.
